The Jersey City Employment and Training Program continues its mission of helping our community to work through personal outreach services, workshops to prepare job seekers, intensive services for qualified customers, a variety of youth services to support both in-school youth needing summer employment & career guidance and out of school youth preparing to enter the workforce. The JCETP is a non-profit agency mandated by The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) that was signed into law on August 8, 1998. The WIA requires an individual to receive employment related services by visiting one location and having his/her needs serviced at one site. Any JCETP WIA member can access Core or Intensives Services, however, there is economic criteria before a person can be considered for training-related services. |
